The service project is one of many requirements of the Eagle Scout rank. Each candidate must choose a project that benefits the community and can not benefit the scouting organization. The candidate acts as a project manager by researching, coordinating, and managing all of the aspects of his project. This also includes any fundraising that may be required in order to finance the materials and supplies of the project.
Many candidates have dedicated their efforts to benefit churches, schools, parks, and many other organizations that serve communities both local and international.
Troop 355 started compiling information on Eagle Projects in 2019 for its members, and the general public, to view.
