Dan Lok, Scoutmaster
We’re proud to introduce Mr. Lok, a dedicated leader and lifelong member of the scouting community and has been the Scoutmaster of Troop 355 since 2009.
Born and raised in Battle Creek, Michigan, Mr. Lok is a graduate of Lakeview High School (Class of 2005) and went on to earn his degree from Kellogg Community College in Emergency Medical Services (Class of 2009).
Mr. Lok began his scouting journey in 1992 in Cub Scout Pack 351, later transitioning to Troop 355 in 1997. He earned the rank of Eagle Scout in 2003 as a proud member of Troop 355. Now, he brings that same passion and leadership back to the troop as an adult leader, helping guide scouts through their own adventures and personal growth.
During his scouting tenure, Mr. Lok has completed Wood Badge, Sea Badge, and National Leadership Seminar trainings. All of these courses are professional development trainings that focus on project management, which he attributes to the success of the troop and various council-wide events he has lead over the years.
Mr. Lok is a recipient of the District Award of Merit, the Silver Beaver Award, and the W.D. Boyce Leadership Award.
His commitment to service is evident both in and out of scouting—he currently works as a Paramedic Supervisor for LifeCare Ambulance and also serves as an EMS Instructor at Kellogg Community College, where he helps train future emergency responders.
When Mr. Lok is not working, or participating in Scouting activities, he travels seeing the US and a number of different countries. Many of his extracurricular activities stemmed from Scouting including backpacking, shooting sports, and cooking.
With deep roots in our community and a strong belief in the values of scouting, Mr. Lok is committed to creating a welcoming, encouraging environment where every scout can thrive. We’re lucky to have his experience, energy, and dedication on our leadership team.
